My Midnight Post:

I feel that my blog is quite pathetic. I need more pictures. So I'm here to do just that.

And I'm still mad that I had to delete 97% of my old posts. That sucked.

Sasha Coen. Her precision is incredible! I wish my jumps and spins looked like hers. Just look at her layback spin! Sure it looks easy. But you try bending back that far on ice skates, on your rocker, while keeping your balance centered. Yeah. That's what I thought.

It's amazing that she only started skating when she was 10 or so, and she's already been to the olympics. She should competing in Vancouver this year!

So excited for the Olympics! It will be awesome. I hope she wins; she really deserves it.

Look at that! That's insane. Can YOU do that? No, I didn't think so. I'm ready to pull my ice skates back out.

You know what's so stupid? Skating levels. Between USFSA and ISI and Skate UK levels, it's impossible to NOT start off in a beginning class!

ISI levels are retarded. They require you to start off in the tot classes, then a hockey tot class (wtf!), before you move up to Pre-Alpha, Alpha, Beta, Gamma, and Delta at which you don't even compete yet! So basically you have to go through 2 levels of beginners courses which is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. After all that crap, then you go up to Freestyle classes 1-8. I'm so glad around here, they only have USFSA which makes it easier for beginners to compete and skip all the stupid "tot" classes. But they do make kids take "snowplow sam" classes which is good. Those are designed for little kids. If you aren't a kid, you start off in Basic 1-8. Which is a much more efficiently designed system. And Skate UK is almost identical to ISI, which is totally worthless in my opinion. They need to redo their whole learn to skate program. Unless you take USFSA lessons when you're a beginner, you're screwed if you want to compete.
